Gender Nyay Collective emerged from years of youth leadership work in the Udaan project. As fellowship journeys concluded, young women chose to continue together rather than work in isolation.
The collective was formed to address patriarchy, gender discrimination, and social norms through community dialogue, cultural action, and peer leadership. This transition from program participation to institution building marked a new chapter in grassroots organizing.
Today, the collective builds safe spaces where girls and adolescents can lead, speak, and shape local action. The model is rooted in ownership, continuity, and lived realities of rural communities in Harda and beyond.
