The story of Gender Nyay Collective
In 2018 we began working in our own villages with small groups. Between 2021 and 2022 we met, reflected together, and began shaping the idea of a collective. Gender Nyay Collective formally started in October 2023, registered as a Samiti.
What began as shared conversations on safety, equality, and dignity has become a grassroots movement led by girls and women across villages and towns.
Our team creates spaces for collective learning, leadership, and action through community programs, campaigns, and cultural expression.

Launch of the Kamla Samuh singing collective and Gender Justice Radio to spread awareness through music and media.

The Ektara Afsaraye membership program expands beyond Harda, reaching girls from schools and ITIs across Madhya Pradesh, and the Collective Tea House starts as a space for dialogue and community.
